Please email story ideas or press releases. Christine will take them into consideration for content on the blog. Please use dotcal to submit your events and auto-feed your calendars to the Southern Oregon Wine Calendar. If you do not use dotcal, you can email the events, but Christine will need at least 14 days to get them updated to the calendar.
Sample Policy
The vast majority of wine and wine-related products featured on the Southern Oregon Wine Blog is purchased with the contributor's own funds. Christine does accept samples of wine, books and other gadgets that may be of interest to the readership. Disclosure will always be made if an item was received as a gift or sample. Christine will make every effort to highlight the samples in a timely fashion. She will not be rating or ranking the wines, but incorporating the reviews into feature stories. The words will always be her own and might possibly be promoted on other websites like CellarTracker and Snooth. Christine will focus on only publishing positive and constructive remarks. Questions? The Southern Oregon Wine Blog was founded in December 2009. The blog boosts over 325 posts and auto-feeds to the Oregon Wine Press, Taste of Oregon, Southern Oregon Artist's Resource, Oregon Wine & Hospitality Network and WineBusiness.com plus it is linked on many other top wine websites and blogs. The monthly traffic ranges from 8,500-10,000 page views. This blog's purpose is to promote the region by enticing tourists to visit, educating trade about the advancing wine quality and be a regular resource for wine enthusiasts. For $30 a month you can have a sidebar advertisement of your business (visible on all pages) that will link directly to your website. These spaces are reserved for Southern Oregon wineries and complimentary goods or services (restaurants, lodging, suppliers, tours, events, entertainment, etc). If you are interested please email your image (one can also be designed for you) and a simple agreement will be forwarded to you.
