Abacela Rasies the Roof on Visitors Center

Abacela recently raised the roof on their new Visitor Center set to open this May. The Visitors Center is infused with Spanish Colonial and Pacific Northwest features. The space boasts three distinct tasting venues including a highly intimate wine library along with a stone fireplace, outdoor living space facing the South Block Syrah slope, and walk-around deck located two floors above the main-level for the best vineyard views.

"The Visitors Center is an inspiration in itself," Hanna Jones, designer of the project and daughter of Abacela's founders Earl and Hilda Jones, begins, "It has been hard to know that we have such an incredible story and amazing wines, but we were not giving our visitors all Abacela has to offer. The opportunity to allow people to really see Abacela for what I see it as, one of the most beautiful places on earth with delicious flavors that melodically play in your mouth, is exciting."

Simply put, the new Visitors Center will be used for education and enjoyment. Hanna explains, "We want people to be able to come to Abacela, and not only enjoy a relaxing time, but also take something away; education of the grapes and land."
