Harvest has yet to begin... so lets celebrate!

Before the craziness of 16 hour work days, before the vines release tons of fruit, and before the winery crew has sore muscles from punchdowns, these local wineries invite you to join in on the fun at their Harvest parties:

  • October 2nd, 1-4 p.m.- Troon Vineyard is hosting their annual Harvest Festival. Friendly pumpkin carving, grape stomping and cork launching competitions (can you beat the world record of 177 ft. 9 inches?)  will be held with musical entertainment by the blues and fiddle band, Missing Pieces. The 2009 Druid's Fluid will be released and there will be a Bagpipe Barrel Room Tour (I'm most interested in finding out what this is about). Party is complimentary, regular tasting fees apply. More information.
  • October 2nd, 5:30 p.m. - Dinner in the Vines at Agate Ridge Vineyard. Sit amongst the bountiful vines while enjoying a seasonal menu prepared by Farm to Fork using fresh local produce. Each of the 5 gourmet courses will be paired with an award-winning Agate Ridge estate wine. Experience a remarkable artisan meal in the company of friends. $75. More information.
  • October 9th, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.- The Upper Rogue Valley Wineries invite you to a Harvest Celebration with grape stomping, tractor rides, and pumpkin painting for the kids. The Upper Rogue Wine & Farm Tour includes Agate Ridge Vineyard, Cliff Creek Cellars, Crater Lake Cellars, Del Rio Vineyards, Folin Cellars, and LaBrasseur Vineyard. Event is complimentary.

Attention winery & vineyard representatives! I'm going to update the master calendar of Southern Oregon wine events ASAP and would love your help. Please email me with your events and details. ~ Thanks, Christine
